Queensland Smoke Alarm Requirements
Queensland has some of the strictest smoke alarm laws in Australia, helping to improve safety for families and rental properties.

Rental Properties
For rental properties, landlords are responsible for ensuring smoke alarms are correctly installed, maintained and operating as required by Queensland legislation. This includes ensuring alarms are functioning properly at the start of every new tenancy or lease renewal.

Compliance Certificate
After completing your smoke alarm installation or upgrade, T.R.T Electrical & Air Conditioning provides a Smoke Alarm Compliance Certificate for your records. This certificate confirms that, at the time of inspection and installation, your smoke alarm system met the applicable Queensland legislative requirements and Australian Standards.
